A Bit About Me
I've ALWAYS enjoyed writing. My first published work happened when I was 8, and I haven't stopped since. But I've also been places and I've done things. I've traveled here and there, and I've lived abroad. I'm trained in Business Communications and Strategic Marketing, but I've worked professionally in several other operational and strategic capacities as well. I've got private sector and public sector experience under my belt. I've worked for big corporations, start-ups and family enterprises. I've volunteered with non-profit organisations and I've worked for them. I've been a Marketing Man & Business Developer, a Management Consultant, Project Manager, Supply-Chain Manager, a Teacher & Instructor, a Translator & Interpreter, a Chef, an Entrepreneur and more. I've even been on TV a couple of times for various reasons, and on BBC World Radio on occasion. I regret none of it, but I'm also not done trying new things.
Why do I Write?
The truth is: I write because I enjoy communicating with the reader.
I know full well that, once I hand the narrative to you, you'll make my views into your own, giving them your own spin with your mind's eye. I like that. Together, you and I will conspire to create the world that greets you when you read my tales, and that's an enticing prospect.
Think of it this way: if I were a songwriter and you a musician, I could give you the notes, but you'd always be playing them to your own rhythm. Writing, as I see it, is a little like that. So, shall we dance?
What do I Write?
FICTION
NON-FICTION
SCIENCE fiction, HISTORICAL fiction, URBAN MYTHS, FANTASY & FOLKLORE, SPY & MILITARY you name it! I like writing short-stories and novellas as much as I enjoy constructing a full-length novel. I imbue my creations with lots of cinematic action and adventure, and I like creating relatable characters, whether they're protagonists, foils or bystanders. I try, as much as possible, to come up with fresh angles on choice themes, and my multicultural background keeps me quirky enough to express novel ideas with originality.
I've been known to put together recipe compilations and the like, and I've been known to compose and to translate technical articles, product data-sheets and manuals, but that's not really what this section is about. My original non-fiction production focuses on ETHICS & SOCIOPOLITICAL CRITICISM and on creating new TABLETOP GAMES that promote creativity and social interaction.
CONTENT
I'm a Creative Writer, a Ghost Writer, and Copywriter. From ARTICLES and COMMENTARIES to PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL, SALES BROCHURES and CORPORATE pages, I deliver on both quality and quantity. Still, I've a knack for discarding the filler stuff that your public doesn't care about anymore, and I can reduce complex notions into relatable ideas. I can write about multifaceted social and political issues, just as much as I can talk straightforward gastronomy, travel and business. What I really like is the challenge of speaking to different target audiences in different ways that will suit them best.
